Photobook

Can’t Carve In Marble But I’ve Taken 66 639 Pictures With My Phone, is the very long and exhausting title of this photobook. It sprung out of an equally exhausting quest through these 66 639 pictures I had taken with my phone to find these image series where I carve my friends into antique sculpture poses through the lens of my camera. The cover is letter pressed and the format is horizontal to correspond to the resting poses of my marble friends. The image series run over a few pages each, circling (carving) the poses indicated by small black and white reference images of marble sculptures attached to each series. The muggy brown colour is chosen to contrasts the aspect of the modern and digital photo method.
