We begin with a Squiggle was the working title of a workshop held in Moscow 2019. After “collecting squiggles” in the urban environment of Moscow city all members of the workshop group were assigned to create individual posters. The posters were supposed to be photo based and accompanied by a calligraphic text that would demystify the squiggles and give them character. Black and white ink jet print only. Exhibited at the MMoMa (Moscow Museum of Modern Art), the group of squiggles eventually became a crowd of different characters. My design aimed to make use of the effects of poster format and pose a very direct and visually playfull message.
