By cutting up typefaces and reassembling them I studied the anatomy of letters. This resulted in six typographic collage posters. Eventually I lasercut the shapes of another collage on an A0-sized mdf board and developed the investigation in 3D sculptures. As a final layer I returned to the flat surface of 2D and created two new posters. One topped with two new layers of the 2D element: photo copying and drawing. The other depicting the full journey from a typographical collage on the typeface F Grotesk by Radim Pesko, to the variations of typographical sculptures created by the lasercut mdf. To a Western eye the sculptures are reminiscent of Chinese characters which inspired positioning them like a paragraph.
